Lane and Kate

Miss Kate came from Georgia for two sessions with me. The first one was with her cousin Lane outdoors and the next day we had a studio session for just her. I've had the pleasure of photographing Lane a couple of times but it was my first time meeting "Baby Kate". I've had an even more recent session with Lane (like yesterday-- yes this blog is LATE) so I'll get to feature Lane a bit later.

Kate is at that age where it takes a bit to warm up.... and I'm not sure she ever warmed up to the idea of being photographed (lol) but I just love how her sweet spirit shines through in these. A meaningful photograph doesn't always include a smile and eye contact and Kate demonstrates just that! :) (of course, we got the smiles and eye contact too!) This little doll is adorable no matter what she's doing so I was in luck! Thanks J for bringing Kate to see me- it was a true pleasure meeting all of you!
